I've recently updated pages on the following counties:  Polk, Ellis, Jefferson, Orange, and Chambers.  I'll be adding more over the next few days as I'm on vacation from my day job.

No photo of Hays (in Hays County)? I request a photo of the most prominent courthouse square statue in each county.

Thanks -- your demanding public.

I agree with you! There's no excuse for leaving out the Hays statue. Perhaps you could share a photograph with us? I'll gladly post it on the Hays County page.

Leonard, Enjoyed your site. Nicely done. I like your detail. Anne and I have been chasing TX County Courthouses for the last 4 years. We have been more along the line of shoot and run. As of last week we have approximately 10 remaining including some redo shots where restoration was in progress. My SmugMug pages post most of the photos along with other "stuff" around TX. We have not updated the page with last week’s photos of about 53 courthouses. PS. We met Alan and Nancy New Year's eve at a mutual friend’s party. He passed on your web site.

Mr. Howell, I'm not aware of a courthouse in Leonard, Texas. (although I like the name of the town). The original seat of Fannin County was Black's Cabin. It was moved to Warren on January 8, 1840 and then to Bois D'Arc (later named Bonham) on January 16, 1843. What information do you have on a courthouse in this town?

I wasn't born in Texas but I got here as soon as I could.  I'm an architect.  And, a photographer on the side.
I live in Houston, with my wife, Donna.  After our daughter, Hilary, passed the Texas Bar exam she took the oath as an attorney in the historic Harris County courthouse on Friday, November 15, 2013.
